Several roads in Bolton will be closed at the end of this month and into next month as telecoms works take place.

Noel Street and Bark Street will be shut from Wednesday, March 29 for approximately three days while telecoms works take place.

The closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Noel Street, St Georges Road to Bark Street and the back of Bark Street from Noel Street to Duke Street to allow works to take place.

Church Lane will be closed on April 3 for approximately one day.

The closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Church Lane from Chorley Road to Wingates Lane.

An alternate route for traffic will be via Lostock Lane.

Bayswater Street will be closed from Tuesday, April 11 for approximately one day while works take place.

The closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Bayswater Street from the back of Morris Green Lane to Morris Green Lane to allow telecoms works to take place.

An alternate route for traffic will be via Sapling Road.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
