An annual fundraising luncheon complete with entertainment will take place next month in support of some of Bolton's most vulnerable people

Fortalice, a Bolton based charity which provides frontline services for victims of domestic abuse and violence, will be welcoming women from across the borough to the Fortalice Ladies Lunch on Thursday May 11.

As well as a  two-course lunch there will be a fashion show and stalls.

Horwich based independent clothing store Buttons Boutique will be hosting the fashion show and there will be various stall holders selling cosmetics, jewellery and fragrances all of which are locally sourced will be attending the event held at wedding venue The Hawthorns.

There will a chance to win prizes at the event.

Fortalice  provides refuge accommodation which holds 22 women and up to 70 children.

Outreach community services, education in schools and accredited training for professionals.

Fortalice’s Children and Young People’s team work closely with schools offering one-to-one sessions and after school group work.

During the pandemic there was a significant increase in demand of children requiring their services, whereby the Children and Young People’s team has now considerably grown.

Fortalice is  currently in need of funding to continue this particular service.

All funds raised from the Ladies Lunch event will help to contribute to this need.
