Rhian Sugden looks back on time at Soccer AM as show axed

Bury-born Rhian, 36, featured on the programme and shared "throwback" images on her Instagram account, commenting: “Look at me as a young whipper snapper on Soccer AM".  

The Instagram story was shared shortly after the news that the long-running show will be coming to an end with the last episode being aired on Saturday, May 27.

The show, which is currently presented by John Fendley and former footballer Jimmy Bullard is best known for its past "laddish humour" and regular features. 

One of these includes the Soccerretes which was cancelled in 2015.  

The segment consisted of a young female fan being brought out and asked questions to garner audience reactions.  

Rhian, who featured as a "Soccerrete" wearing a Manchester United shirt, was a Page 3 model and is married to former Coronation Street star Oliver Mellor, who played Matt Carter.

Rhian and her husband have also been in the public eye recently after sharing their struggles with IVF.

The Radcliffe model posted a tearful photo of herself with the comment: "The reality of Mother's Day to an IVF warrior" on March 19.

The couple have publicly spoken out about their difficulties with IVF after a second round of treatment failed in 2019.

The lingerie model was also told she has only a three per cent chance of getting pregnant by IVF.
