A man was arrested amid a “week of action” carried out by police across Bolton town centre.
The series of operations were carried out by officers based in the town centre with the support of student officers as part of what they have dubbed “the neighbourhood week of action.”
They patrolled well known locations around the town including the area around the town hall and the Market Place shopping centre.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “The town centre neighbourhood team, supported by student officers, have conducted high visibility patrols around Bolton town centre throughout the neighbourhood week of action.
“This resulted in a fast response to incidents and a male was subsequently arrested.”
The week has also included speed gun checks in other areas of Bolton in an effort to crackdown on speeding and other kinds of anti-social behaviour on the roads.
It has also involved the seizure of illegal goods at various locations around the borough.
Money and illegal drugs have also been recovered elsewhere and police say they will follow up with similar initiatives in future.
Anyone with any concerns can call police on 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
Alternatively, witnesses can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
