Smithills is always a great place to take the children for a family day out and this year they have a weekend of exciting activities.

Throughout the bank holiday weekend to Bank Holiday Monday, April 10, the farm will be hosting ‘biggest, best and most eggciting egg hunts around’.

The standard farm admission applies plus £3 per child for the hunt which will include an Easter egg or an Easter teddy for each child participating.

There will be lots of sweets and chocolates too and special prizes and gifts.

Find the Easter bunny and Easter chick and have your pictures taken with them too.

Bolton Museum Easter Break Bonanza

On each day this bank holiday weekend, apart from Easter Sunday, the Museum will be hosting an Easter Break Bonanza.

Hop along to Bolton Museum this Easter break where they will have a range of exciting animal themed activities for all the family including animal object handling, spring-time crafts, stories and games.

Plus there will be Easter film screenings nearly every day throughout the Easter holidays at 2pm, apart from April 7, 9, 10 and April 12 and on Saturday April 8, it will take place at 1pm.

The free film screenings will take place at the Library Lecture Theatre.

The cost is free and no need to book.

Beauty and the Beast Pantomime

Or why not be a guest at the Victoria Halls this Easter as they tell as tale as old as time?

The Easter Panto promises a laugh a minute script for all the family with glittering costumes, bright sets and toe tapping musical numbers in abundance.

All tickets are priced at £5 plus a booking fee and people are recommended to get tickets as soon as possible before the last rose petal falls.

Happy Hoppy Easter at The Hive – Moss Bank Park

Moss Bank Park is also hosting a range of Easter events over the Bank holiday weekend.

Organisers of Happy Hoppy Easter at The Hive said they plan on having an ‘egg-tastic time’ this Easter with plenty of goodies to make including a willow egg decoration and a pair of bunny ears, which will be perfect for when little ones take part in the egg hunt, where they can search the Hive for their goodies.

There will be games to enjoy, a campfire and tasty treats at the end of the session. 

Tickets are £9 per child; this includes one accompanying adult.

Any additional adults are charged at £3.00 per adult.

Easter Egg Hunt – Queens Park

On Saturday April 8, between 2pm and 5pm, head to Queens Park and discover the exciting Easter trail where you can hunt for the enormous painted eggs hidden around.
