A man has been charged in relation to the six-year-old girl who was injured during a dog attack on Sunday in Trafford.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed this morning, Thursday, that Bernard Valentine, of Ackers Lane, Carrington, has been charged with eight counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control that caused injury.
Six of the charges are a result of an investigation into the attack on the girl, while the other two relate to a different incident in December 2022.
On that occasion, a man in his 20s and his dog were injured, also on Ackers Lane.
His charges fall under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Valentine, 35, has also been charged with possession of Class B drugs.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today.
According to police, 17 dogs have been seized so far and four people, including Valentine, have been arrested in relation to the incident.
The girl suffered injuries caused by dogs and was taken to hospital.
As of 5pm yesterday, she remained in hospital and was receiving treatment.
