Police are appealing for witnesses after a three-car crash killed one woman yesterday afternoon.

GMP officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the car accident on Darwen Road, Bolton on Thursday 30 March just before 11.50am.

The collision left one woman dead and another man and woman seriously injured.

Officers are now asking for witnesses and for any dashcam, CCTV and doorbell footage to be submitted.

Sergeant Phillip Collingwood of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This was an extremely tragic incident in which someone has lost their life and two others have sustained serious injuries.

Tributes have been paid to the person who tragically lost their life in the crash.

The major accident saw Darwen Road shut for hours while police, ambulance and ambulance helicopters were at the scene.

Two cars were seen heavily damaged following the crash as Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service worked to cut people out of the cars.

The incident left many in shock in Bromley Cross.
