It was full steam ahead for driver Albert Stones and his passengers on the miniature railway at Moss Bank Farm in April 1987.
Moss Bank Park is one of the most popular parks in Bolton and has a large number of features that appeal to families, including the railway, butterfly house and farm.
Many years ago, Moss Bank Park was originally used for the Ainsworth family’s bleaching business and family residence.
Our picture shows, from left, Christopher Morris, Phillip Davies, both aged four, Michael Lowe, aged six, and his sister, Anne Marie, aged three, with Albert Stones driving the train.
Check out the Looking Back supplement in the paper on Wednesdays for great historical content of memories in Bolton and surrounding areas
