From Weatherfield to Le Mans Crescent, TV production trucks were spotted setting up for another day of filming Coronation Street.

ITV confirmed that they were currently filming for a court case but stayed tight lipped on the storyline which will be aired on June. I

But the biggest two storylines are the acid attack when Daisy Midgeley, played by Charlotte Jordan, and Daniel Osbourne, played by Rob Mallard, prepare for their wedding. 

But their happy day did not go to plan as bitter Justin, played by Andrew Still, surprises Daisy at the Rovers before the ceremony and throws acid at the bride. 

There is also the assault which Amy Barlow has reported to the police.

But it is not clear whether these are the centre of the latest filming.

It is not the first time that the hit soap has chosen Bolton to film for a storyline, and the town is fast becoming the go to place for filming.

In July last year stars of the long running soap filmed scenes inside the courtroom involving Toyah Battersby's trial for three days.

Bolton's old courthouse has been used before by Coronation Street's production crew to film a number of scenes.

Stars from the nation's much-loved street were previously seen in Bolton filming courtroom scenes in July 2021 and 2022, covering the trial following the murder of Seb Franklin.

Corrie’s production crews have filmed some of their biggest storylines in Bolton including the infamous bank robbery carried out by Jim McDonald, where the Wellsprings building is, and where The Bolton News used to be.

Le Mans Crescent has been a popular destination for hit dramas such as the Ipcress File and Peaky Blinders.

And Bolton has started to get a bit of a reputation for being the Hollywood of the North, with This Morning labelling it the ‘new Hollywood’.

One of the BBC’s best-loved dramas Happy Valley was most recently filmed in Bolton town centre with many viewers noticing familiar sights including Amico Café, Scoopalicious, and The Vaults.

From Hollywood royalty to British classics.

Stars of the  series which follows on from the hit 90s film, The Full Monty, were seen in Victoria Square for a couple of weeks in August last year.

Harry Potter’s Helena Bonham Carter was spotted filming ITV drama, Nolly, which transformed Le Mans Crescent into a period set with vintage cars and buses lining the town centre street last May and June.

And if that wasn’t big enough A-list actor Ewan McGregor was seen filming for a ‘A Gentleman in Moscow’, outside Victoria Hall for ‘key scenes’ in the series.
