Well-known Strictly Come Dancing star Motsi Mabuse is being sued by her ex-husband after she said he was 'controlling' in her autobiography.

Motsi Mabuse has been a judge on the BBC show since 2019 when she replaced Darcey Bussell.

The uncovered legal documents show that Timo Kulczak is demanding £70,000 from his ex-wife after claims she made about their relationship.

He refutes that he stopped the BBC judge from having a baby, restricted her access to money and decided on her diet.

According to the writ seen by The Sun, she must stop “implying that the plaintiff made the defendant suffer during their marriage”.

It also demands that she state “publicly the statements published in the book and cited press reports are untrue”.

The accusations were made in an autobiography written by the Strictly star called Finding My Own Rythm: My Story.

Here, the star alleges that during their 11-year relationship, her ex-partner paid her an allowance from her earnings.

Motsi Mabuse also said that he rejected her pleas to have a child and that he controlled what she ate.

The pair met in 2003 during a dance tournament before she moved to Germany from her home country South Africa at the age of 18 to be with him.

They divorced in 2014 with Motsi marrying her new dance partner Evgenij in 2017.

The lawsuit was filed at Offenburg Regional Court and she will have a deadline to respond.

The Sun learned in November that Timo was considering action. He told the paper: “I have tried to settle this out of court.

"But I am not prepared to accept the situation whereby she makes up outrageous things about me.”

His lawyer added: “My client’s reputation has repeatedly been trashed.”
