Celebrate the King Charles III coronation in style this weekend with events at Bolton Library and Museum Services.

Over the course of the bank holiday weekend, there will an array of activities and events for families to enjoy in the town centre.

On Friday May 5 at 11.30am, Bolton Library is calling all little ones and their parents for a Coronation themed Toddler Tales session at their temporary location in the Crompton Place Shopping Centre.

On the day of the Coronation, May 6, families are invited to watch the remarkable, historical event in Bolton Museum’s lecture theatre where they will be screening the Coronation live.

Residents are invited to take their seats at 10am with proceedings to end at 2.30pm.

Also, from 11am to 3pm residents are invited to make their own crown and there’ll also be a silent disco.

Celebrations will continue onto bank holiday Monday, May 8, as the museum will be open with drop-in sessions from 1pm to 3pm for people to create their own crowns.

No need to book for the screening or activity sessions.
