A university is looking for the next talent across the North West, with singing, dancing and magic on the agenda.

The North West Talent Show at the University of Bolton is looking for anyone that can sing, play musical instruments, tell jokes, perform magic, or have any outstanding talent, to sign up.

The university, in conjunction with Media M, has organised this spectacular event for Saturday, May 20.

Professor Zubair Hanslot, Provost of the University of Bolton, said: “This has the hallmarks of being a spectacular event just like the Bollywood Night we organised with the Mayor in November.

“The show provides an opportunity for different communities and cultures to come together and the Students' Union has been heavily involved.

The Bolton News:

“Bolton is my home town and it would be a real source of pride to see the University help talented performers from Bolton and further afield to get that desired break.”

Winning singers will receive the opportunity to record their singing at the award-winning Astar Studios in Manchester.

Prof Hanslot added: “The event is not just for university students - we want to see the most talented performers from all walks of life across the North West getting involved.
