A Bolton road is set to be closed for vital works at the end of this month.

Hough Lane is to be closed on Tuesday, June 20 for approximately one day whilst manhole repairs take place.

The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Hough Lane from School Street to Threadfold Way to allow manhole repair works to take place.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, the council is asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

They local authority apologises for any inconvenience the closures may cause to residents and road users.
