New food hygiene ratings have been given to four of Bolton’s eateries – with one of them being given a damning zero star score.

Chester’s at 153-155 Blackburn Road, Bolton was handed a three star rating after inspection on May 2.

The inspection report states the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and the management of food safety are generally satisfactory, and the hygienic food handling is good.

Syrian Pastries at 199 Derby Street, Bolton, has also been handed a new rating of two out of five grade after an inspection on May 2.

The eatery inspection report states improvement is necessary for both the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building whilst major improvement is necessary for the management of food safety.

And The Fig and Olive at 209-213 Derby Street, Bolton, was rated a zero after inspection on May 2.

The eatery’s inspection report states urgent improvement is necessary for the management of food safety whilst improvement is also necessary for the hygienic food handling and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.
