Blackrod Art Group will be staging an art exhibition and open day on Saturday.

The exhibition will take place during the Blackrod Scarecrow Weekend.

It will be staged in the Blackrod Community Centre in Greenbarn Way.

Refreshments will be available and there will be free entry.

Visitors will have a chance to buy paintings, vote for their favourite.

There will also be a craft staff and a raffle.

Blackrod Scarecrow Festival will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday this year, returning for its 15th instalment.

There will be a scarecrow competition, stalls and more at the festival.

Stalls will be trading from noon-3pm on both days.

The festival returned last year after a pandemic-induced hiatus, with special guest Worzel Gummidge making an appearance.

There were over 100 scarecrows at the festival, including Boris Johnson, an homage to Call The Midwife, pirates, the minions, and a scarecrow showing how cricket scores were kept in the 1750s.
