WE try to shine the spotlight on some of the finest venues in and around Bolton for socialising with family and friends.

This time we have headed to the Circle in Bolton to find out more about the reasons for their success.

Circle

Address of the pub:

Nelson Square, Bolton

Bethany Holt

Give us some history about the pub:

We spent 5 months renovating the venue last year, creating Circle to be what it is today! We pride ourselves on great service, delicious cocktails and a beautiful interior perfect for those Instagram backdrops. We’re an exciting and inviting night-time space offering private venue hire, personalised booth packages, bottomless brunch and so much more!

Is food served? If so what’s on the menu?

Not typically, however we do host bottomless events with food included such as afternoon tea, cakes and sweet treats and BBQ nibbles.

Is there a beer garden?

Yes! We have an outdoor space offering Shisha to go with your ice cold drinks.

Do you have any darts/snooker/pool teams?

Not at the moment.

Most popular drink served is:

Our Dead Man Walking cocktail, it’s our take on a rum punch that we later use Wray and Nephew, Angel Dust and a blow torch to set alight! Perfect for the Insta’.

Most memorable moment at the pub:

Endless nights of girls reluctant to leave the female toilets due to our big red button on the wall that transforms the toilets into a private disco!

Do you have an entertainment line-up?

We often have saxophone players, electric violinists, percussionists and more that play alongside our DJs on weekend nights.

Have you faced any challenges within the industry?

Opening a venue during this cost-of-living crisis was a risk and has definitely had it’s challenges but it’s been a super successful 10 months for us with nothing but positive feedback and returning customers!

The best thing about running a pub is...

The social aspect, getting to know all of our customers, building our wonderful team of staff and the creativity behind coming up with new cocktail and event ideas.

The worst thing about running a pub is...

Wanting to be on the other side of the bar with our friends and favourite customers.

The perfect hangover cure is...

“Hair of the dog” is always our motto at Circle. However, if that’s not for you, we offer some lovely mocktails!
