A stolen car has been recovered by police under an hour after it was taken.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers recovered the car in Johnson Fold yesterday, Friday, June 30, after it had been stolen from Halliwell earlier in the day.

Officers in Bolton worked together to recover the car.

It will now be examined by GMP Crime Scene Investigation officers.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers from Team 2 Neighbourhood have assisted the Priority Crime Team in recovering a car that had been stolen from Halliwell.

"Officers located the car in #JohnsonFold less than an hour after it had been stolen. The car will now be examined by our CSI officers."
