Market shoppers can now pick up something extra, thanks to Bolton Council ’s new stall offering advice and guidance about a rewarding career working with their local authority.

The latest addition to Bolton Market can be found near the food court in the Lifestyle Hall and will be staffed from 12-2pm every Tuesday and Thursday.

Council staff will be on hand to offer support to anyone looking for more information, interested in opportunities or just unsure where to start with their application.

Outside of these hours, visitors can collect leaflets and information about the wide variety of roles available at Bolton Council.

There are more than 500 different types of job across the council with staff of all ages and experience levels working at various locations across the borough.

Apprenticeships, development opportunities and flexible working means there are roles to suit everyone at any stage of their life or career.

Bolton Council Leader, Cllr Nick Peel, said: “Officers working at Bolton Council do everything from bin collections to social care and from health inspections to managing our green spaces.

“These are highly skilled, rewarding jobs that make in a real difference in our local community.
