A new Tapas restaurant will open its doors in Bolton Town Centre later this month.

Following on from the success of Med3 in Egerton, La Bera is the new tapas restaurant and bar opening on Bridge Street in the town centre.

The restaurant used to be the old La Salsa, and will serve tapas from Mediterranean countries like Spain, Greece, Italy, and Turkey.

Owner, Burak Hasturk said: “I am very excited because this will be one of the best restaurant and bar in Bolton for the town to enjoy.

“Our slogan is ‘prepared to be wowed’ and that is what we will do.

“The portions will be small so people can order more than one thing because they do not want massive plates anymore.”

It’s been a long time coming since the closure of his former restaurant, Med3 in Egerton which Burak took over and turned into a great success.

After the closure of Med3, Burak looked for a new opportunity to realise his restaurant dream.

He said: “I had a very good vision for Med3 and I was trying to build that place, but it did not happen and what I wanted to do there I’m now doing here.

“It was an experience and my first restaurant which did really well while we could run.

“I was upset when it had to close, but the only really sad part is I miss the staff.”

The menu at La Bera will not just cater for meat eaters but offer fish dishes and a huge range of vegetarian and vegan food as well as over 70 percent of meals being gluten free.

Burak said: “We wanted to make it trendy because Bolton lacks something like this and I am aware it’s not the best location but if one opens up like this then more will follow.”

Hailing from Turkey originally, Burak is half Turkish and half Greek and hopes he can bring his food culture to Bolton after living here since 2011.
