Food hygiene inspectors have rated four eateries in the latest round of inspections.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated one eatery a five out of five hygiene rating, two eateries a four out of five rating and one eatery a three out of five rating.

MFG MEADOW GREGGS at 1041 Bury Road, Bolton was rated a five after inspection on July 1.

The inspection report on the Foods Standards Agency website states both the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are very good, and the management of food safety is good.

The Chai Cabin at 47-61 Albert Road, Farnworth, Bolton was rated a four after inspection on May 30.

Roman Pizzeria at 156-158 Derby Street, Bolton; was also rated a four after inspection on June 30.

The eatery’s inspection report states the hygienic food handling is very good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are both generally satisfactory.

Finally, the Old Three Crowns, a pub, bar, or nightclub at 14 Deansgate, Bolton was given a score of three after assessment on June 5, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The inspection report states the eatery is generally satisfactory in all areas.

It means that of Bolton's 183 pubs, bars, and nightclubs with ratings, 76 (42 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
