Crowds gathered this morning outside Carrs Pasties new shop - either for a free pastie or to meet the Bolton Wanderers legend John McGinlay.

The famous Bolton pasty makers opened their fourth shop in the Middlebrook and Retail Leisure Park.

Although it opened on Tuesday, today was a special day of celebration, and even Lofty the Lion could not keep away.
