A pair of police vehicles are off the road after vandals struck three times in less than 12 hours in Bolton.

The incidents were on Bury Road, Folds Road and Bradford Street on Monday and Tuesday this week.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Bolton said the first incident was at 5.30pm on Monday, when a man on a bike went up to a police vehicle on Bury Road and struck its mirror.

Then the second incident was at 9.30pm on Monday, when a man approached a police vehicle on Folds Road and threw a brick through its window.

And the third incident was in the early hours of Tuesday, when a man on a bike approached a police vehicle on Bradford Street and, again, threw a brick through its window. He made off down Bromwich Street.

A pair of police vehicles are off the road and the force released a picture of a person officers want to speak to in connection with the incidents. This picture appears to show the second incident on Folds Road.

Superintendent Danny O'Neill, of GMP Bolton, said: "These acts of violence will not be tolerated by Greater Manchester Police and we are asking for your help in identifying the culprits.

"I would ask anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of these areas at the above times to come forward. We've got two vehicles off the road whilst they're repaired and this is not acceptable."
