Tours of Bolton's magnificent town hall are being held to mark its 150th birthday.
Bolton Museum is currently staging an exhibition exploring the history of the town hall.
It tells the story of the magnificent building, from its construction, it's use and role in public life, and what the building means to us today.
Tours to discover more about the history of Bolton Town Hall will take place on August 24 and 7 September 7.
A spokesman said: “These are free tours but please book via Eventbrite for the Town Hall tour and you can just turn up for the exhibition tours.
“The exhibition includes original plans and drawings, mayoral items including furniture, jewels and silverware, and many items which have never been on display before!
“Kids (and big kids!) can dress as the mayor or a panto dame, follow the trail to find out about the museum.
The meeting point for both tours is Bolton Museum's reception and shop.
Please note the Town Hall tour is most appropriate for age 11+.
