A Bolton dance school is set to perform in the showpiece of the Rugby League calendar.

The Bolton All Starz are set to take to the stage alongside other dancers at half time of the final of the Challenge Cup between Hull KR and Leigh Leopards this afternoon (August 12).

Established in 1996 by Alison Power, the dance school based at Brownlow Fold Community Centre is a non-profit organisation for children between the ages of six and 14.

It received an invite to the final of the Challenge Cup between St Helens and Warrington Wolves four years ago and it received another invite to Wembley Stadium this year.

Ms Power said: "We were invited before but it was such a success we were invited again.

"Some of them are going for the first time and some of them are going for the second time.

"They are really over the moon. They couldn't believe they were going to Wembley. They saw it on the TV but they cannot believe they are performing on the pitch at Wembley. They are looking forward to it and the youngest [Talia Porter] is six years old so she is really over the moon.

"I absolutely love it. I am not looking forward to the journey as it is a long way, but it is an amazing day, an amazing day."

The routine is set by Join the Momentum, who visited Brownlow Fold a couple of months ago to teach it in a workshop.

The Bolton All Starz are practising it once a week as well as raising money for the trip to Wembley Stadium at 4am on Saturday.

Ms Power said: "There are 200 dancers.

"It is not easy so they've had to do some good learning and some good practising."

The final of the Challenge Cup between Hull KR and Leigh Leopards is this afternoon (August 12).

The coverage starts at 2pm on BBC One.
