An air ambulance was called to Little Hulton this evening (August 17) in response to an incident.

A resident in Thornfield Grove said she spoke to the crew guarding the helicopter after it landed on a patch of green outside her house, and was told they were attending a scene and it was not training.

She said: "It felt like it was going to land on my roof!"

No other emergency services were in attendance and the air ambulance left without anybody being taken on board.

We are awaiting more details from the North West Air Ambulance Charity and will issue an update when possible.
