It's game on at the Bolton's Market Place Centre.

For plans to create a new attraction are back on track after the Covid pandemic.

Visitors can enjoy a new gaming experience at the shopping centre from mid October.

The idea for the new leisure attraction was developed before the global pandemic, and now is finally seeing the light, with Game Vault opening downstairs in The Vaults of Market Place Shopping Centre.

Joint owners Craig and Martin Holden run their own business outside of Game Vault, and this is a new venture for the Bolton-based businessmen.

Game Vault is opening in a vacant 1,000 sq. ft. unit, with space for around 30 different gaming machines and devices which will include virtual reality, Pinball, and all kinds of arcade machines.

Craig said: “We are like kids at Christmas with Game Vault and can’t wait to get started. It’s going to be an amazing addition to both the town centre and Market Place.

“Game Vault is somewhere where all of the family can have some fun together.

“We will be running high scoring competitions and we can also cater for team building events for businesses.

“We have many machines including virtual reality, pinball, retro and interactive darts. Game on!”

Rachel Townsend, Centre Manager at Market Place Shopping Centre, said: “We are excited to welcome the Game Vault, Craig and his team have such a great concept which I believe is a great addition to our vaults area providing our customers a place to enjoy with the family whilst grabbing some food from our restaurants or visiting our range of shops and cafes.”

The Market Place Shopping Centre has had many new investments recently offering customers the chance to dine, shop and enjoy various activities.

The last few months have seen a new Play2Par golfing experience open providing the 'ultimate indoor golf development experience', incorporating coaching, practice and entertainment whilst utilising the world’s leading technology and Flannels is set to open in place of Tessuti.

As well as this, the new Patio Bar has opened offering people a great place to have a drink and listen to live entertainment.
