A pupil is set to follow her passion of serving justice as a lawyer after picking up her GCSEs.

Imogen Islip, who attended Canon Slade School, achieved eight grade nines and two eights in maths and biology.

She now hopes to go into law in the future after going on to study maths, history, business studies, and Spanish at the sixth form.

Imogen said: “I think it’s great to have a language, I love history and I think it’s really good for law, as well as business studies.

“I am also good at maths, and I think it’s a good subject to have.

“I feel really good to get the results I have got.

“I wasn’t expecting to get a nine in physics, so that’s really good.”

Her passion for law comes from growing up and having a passion for justice and fairness.

She said: “Seeing what goes on in the world and different things that are dealt with through the law, and having a passion for justice and fairness, makes me want to be involved in that.

“If I am working, I really want to make a difference in what I am doing.”

Imogen says that leading up to this point has been a big journey for her, and having to sacrifice her quality time has been difficult.

She said: “I have enjoyed it though and I haven’t seen it as a chore because I have always enjoyed learning and doing the work.”
