People in a car in Bolton ran away from police after being ordered to stop by officers today, Wednesday.

Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team were monitoring the Chorley Old Road area when they noticed the vehicle driving along the backstreets.

It was noticed that the vehicle had no insurance but before officers could get to the car, the occupants ran off and the vehicle was seized.

A Greater Manchester Police Bolton North spokesperson said: “Bolton North Neighbourhood Team officers noticed this vehicle driving along the back streets of Chorley Old Road, Bolton.

“Before officers could get to the vehicle, the occupants made off from the area.

“The vehicle had no insurance policy and was seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.”
