An inflatable fun park is set to host a festival full of delicious food alongside bouncy castles for children.

Open Air Bounce in Over Hulton is teaming up with Tropical Festivals for its first ever UK open food festival.

The festival on Saturday, September 9 will offer a barbecue, along with many other food stalls from burgers, fries and hot sandwiches.

Live bands will also play at the farm and families can enjoy browsing market stalls.

Open Air Bounce will also be open for all children with wristbands still available while parents sit back and enjoy the live music and food.

Leighton Mills, who runs Open Air Bounce, said: “We are really looking forward to hoisting this event it is the first time for us hoisting a festival and it is also tropical festivals first event.

“It is going to be a great day for all the Bolton community the weather is going to be very nice, and we are excited about Saturday.”

Open Air Bounce has been a huge success over the holidays as children were treated to dinosaur shows, tea parties and lots of bouncy castle fun.

Every session has been sold out for the last six weeks and while it has come to an end, there will be one last day of Open Air Bounce on Saturday before the sessions stop until the next holidays.

The rainy weather saw the park having to close for some days over the summer, but Leighton has remained positive and said the community have been nothing but supportive since they opened.

He said: “We cannot help the bad weather and if it’s not on our side, we have to close.

“It happens because we have had a bad summer and we cannot control that.

“We have had terrible weather in July, so we were closed for a week.

“We are an outdoor venue, so we knew this was going to happen from time to time.”

Despite the weather concerns, Open Air Bounce has been running successfully since opening in April.

Usually, there are a handful of small fairground rides, for which you need tokens costing £1.50 each, as well as food and drink stalls.
