Anyone who missed the Red Arrows yesterday will get a second chance to spot the famous formation as they fly over Bolton again today (Saturday).

At around 11.56am, the famous Red Arrows will be flying over the north of Bolton ahead of the Southport Air Show.

Yesterday, stunning pictures captured the moment the famous Red Arrows flew over the town.

The RAF's Red Arrows team is known for its distinctive diamond nine formation, and has been displaying since 1965.

People around Bolton were snapping shots of the incredible sight yesterday when they flew over at around 4.16pm.

As well as the Southport Airshow, taking place today, the team is due to help close the International Ayr Show Festival of Flight in Scotland.

On Sunday, the team is due to fly over the Great North Run. They’ll then have a few days before their next scheduled displays on September 14, when the team is planning to display at the Guernsey Air Display and the Jersey International Airshow.
