A Doner and Gyros diner and takeaway is offering new customers a special treat today, Saturday, to mark its grand opening in Bury Town Centre.

Döner and Gyros, located on the side of Kaspa Desserts at The Rock, will be giving customers 50 per cent off all-day to celebrate the opening of the store.

It will be the first branch of the chain to open in the North West and the business is run by the same owners as Kaspa’s Desserts.

Area manager, Nidal Alkhanshali, said he was excited for the opportunity to open the venue alongside running the dessert place.

He said: “We are doing a grand opening for Doner & Gyros on Saturday, September 16 and can't wait for everyone to come down and try our menu.

“We will be doing 50 per cent off all day for our customers”.

The deal is for today only and will be in place from 12pm until 10pm.

Although the bulk of the menu focuses on Döner and Gyros, there will be "lighter meals" such as salads and rice bowls as well as vegan options.

Customers can make use of the 50% off from any item on the menu.

When speaking to the Bury Times in June, Nidal said: “This is a new experience for me and although there have been a couple of hiccups with renovations, we expect to be open by the end of July.

“It is in the perfect location next to Kaspa's and customers can sit in, take away or order for delivery.

“We have already had a few people asking about the opening, what is happening and letting us know that they were excited to see us up and running.”

The store has opened nearly two months later than originally hoped however Nidal added that they are now ready to welcome and meet their new customers.

A Starbucks store will also be joining The Rock this month and will be situated opposite Greggs and Sketchers.
