A popular pub has reopened following a refurbishment and a change in management.
The Grey Man in Westhoughton closed its doors last Wednesday, and at the time the landlady Heather Caygill thought it would be at least another week until opening again.
Heather told The Bolton News she was just 'so happy' to be back open a lot sooner and being able to look to the future again.
She said: “We have had quite a few new people, but our regulars have come back too.
“It feels great, and we are a lot happier now, and everything is back to normal.

“The new management has been really nice.”
Some of the pub has been repainted, as well as carpets being cleaned, and work has been done on some of the furniture.
Heather said: “Quite a few people came to see the football, with us having Sky at the pub.
“The family and me are very happy that the company kept us on.
“The new company have showed us a lot of things that we can do with the pub.
“We were not sure what was happening before, but the company are happy with what we have been doing.”
There will be some positive changes made to the pub including more entertainment, but punters can still expect to enjoy their karaoke on a Saturday, pie, peas, and gravy on a Friday, and much more.
In the coming months there will be a virtual pig race, with the chance to win a free pint, Halloween activities for adults and children, as well as events during Christmas, and Remembrance Sunday.
Some of these events will help Heather continue to raise more funds for a much-needed defibrillator.
She added: “We are about £300 off getting it installed.
“The customers have been great and are all supporting me.
“We will also have a £50 bar tab that someone could win if they put a £1 in.
“The rest of the money will go towards a defibrillator.”
Heather took over the pub last summer as a new challenge, along with her children Sean and Paige, who are excited to be back open.
