A Bolton dance group wowed crowds in Sheffield with their performance.

The Kaskosan Roma Group took to the stage at the Peace Gardens and Winter Garden in Sheffield town centre as part of the Yorkshire Integration Festival.

The dance group have been recognised as the only East European Romani (Gypsy) dance group in the UK and have performed in Bolton and Liverpool.

Plenty of children’s activities for all ages included dance, arts, and crafts, and face-painting also took place on the day.

There were art and craft and food stalls with cuisine from around the world on offer, and much more.

The group is run by two highly experienced dance coaches and a traditional Gypsy couple – who did the choreography with the group of ten dancers last Saturday (September 30).

A range of other acts also took to the stage to perform, as well as exhibitions with humanitarian themes.

This free, family-friendly event was a celebration of the positive impact made by migrants and refugees in Yorkshire and Humber, showcasing the diverse range of cultures and customs.

In April last year the Kaskosan Roma Group performed at the Bolton Unity Festival at the University of Bolton Stadium.
