A financial initiative by a group of Bolton businesswomen is in line for a national award.
“The Orange Hub – Let’s Talk Money” was created by the group as an offshoot of the SheInspires Awards.
Now, it has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Aviva Community Fund awards to be announced on October 17.
Orange champions were appointed by SheInspires to support the United Nations Secretary General’s “Orange the World” campaign to stop violence against women and young girls and to promote their independence.
Founding champion for the Orange Hub is Jenny Hyde, Associate Director of Stanmore Insurance in Little Lever.
As Gulnaz Brennan, founder of the SheInspires awards with Ray Hanks and a strong promoter of female independence, commented: “Our journey to champion financial wellbeing and support those escaping domestic abuse is an ongoing commitment.
“Being ‘orange’ is about standing up and making a difference and I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come.
“We are also thrilled that the project is a finalist for the Aviva Awards. This accomplishment underscores our commitment to advancing financial wellbeing amidst critical challenges.”
