A Bolton town centre bank has temporarily closed following 'an incident'.
Customers arrived at Halifax on Knowsley Street today to find that it was closed.
Halifax have confirmed that the branch is closed due to maintenance work/
The branch is expected to reopen on Monday October 30.
A spokesperson for Halifax said: “Due to maintenance works our Bolton branch is temporarily closed and we expect to reopen on October 30.
"We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
"Customers can visit our Walkden branch or bank at the nearby post office, which offers personal and business customers everyday banking services.”
A notice on the doors says that it is closed 'due to an incident', and customers have been advised to use the nearest branch on Bolton Road in Walkden.

The sign says: “Due to an incident we’ve had to temporarily close this branch.
“The nearest branch is Halifax Walkden, 57-59 Bolton Road, Walkden M28 3ZH.
“We hope to reopen this branch on Monday October 30.
“Apologies for any inconvenience.
“Alternatively, you could use the website (www.halifax.co.uk) or telephone on 0345 739 4959.”
Customers can also use the Halifax ATM machine or the post office on Oxford Street.
