The difference Bolton Wanderers has made in the community was celebrated at a special gala dinner which raised £30,000 to support more of the town's people.

Bolton Wanderers in the Community staged its annual Charity Gala Dinner in the 1877 Suite at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

It was attended by first team manager Ian Evatt and the the event was an opportunity to hear from people from different backgrounds whose lives have been positively impacted by the work of the Club’s official charity.

"We are overwhelmed and immensely thankful to all who attended and made contributions. The £30,000 raised will ensure that we can continue to respond to local need and support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.”

The charity gala dinner serves as a cornerstone event for raising funds and awareness to support BWitC’s ongoing mission to use the power of Bolton Wanderers Football Club to "inspire, support and deliver positive change".

In 2002 it became a registered charity and the official charity of Bolton Wanderers Football Club.

Last year the charity underwent a rebrand which ultimately changed its name the Bolton Wanderers in the Community (BWitC), which the trust believes to be more fitting.

BWitC currently delivers over 20 different projects, that work across key themes including health and wellbeing, education, employability and inclusion and cohesion.
