A road was closed in Horwich this afternoon after it is believed a woman in her 70s fell into the road.
Winter Hey Lane was closed for around an hour while emergency services assisted.
Police officers and air ambulance attended the scene, with a helicopter landing near the children’s playground at Old Station Park.

No cars have been reported as involved in the incident and police attended the scene to assist with the temporary road closure.

North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for further comment on the nature of the incident.
