TWO people have been stabbed in the same Bolton street within hours of each other as a knife crime epidemic continues to sweep the country.

A teenager is in hospital after being stabbed in Chorley Old Road, near Blockbuster Video, at 7.40pm this evening.

The 19-year-old was attacked just hours after a man, aged 24, was stabbed less than half a mile away during a row over cigarettes as he returned home from a friend's house.

The attacks come a week after 15-year-old boy was stabbed with a screwdriver in Moss Bank Way, Astley Bridge and a day after the deaths of four people in London in less than 24 hours.
