Christmas will soon be upon us and there are plenty of festive events across the area coming up.

Among the attractions are the Christmas markets and we have listed a few that will be taking place around the town.

Heaton Fold Garden Centre

Running from Sunday, November 26 to December 17 from 10am to 3pm, the centre is putting on an artisan Christmas market. The stalls will be packed full of festive crafts, gift ideas, decadent food and more. Visitors will get a chance to see all the lights and displays at night, while also enjoying a pop-up market, Santa’s Grotto, live music and a seasonal menu in their café.

Also, if you are in need of a Christmas tree you will be able to buy one here and the staff will help you bring them back to your cars.

On Saturday, November 25 from 11am to 5pm, almost 40 seasonal traders will set up stalls at the Westhoughton Hub this year to spread festive cheer. There will be festive activities as well as refreshments, including hot turkey and stuffing barms, mulled wine, Irish and Baileys Coffee. Located on Central Drive this is not one to miss as the organisers are hoping it will be the best festive market they have ever hosted.

Ridgmont House

On Sunday December 3 from 11am to 4pm, the restaurant and wedding venue will bring a Christmas market to Horwich this year. Seasonal delights will be on sale as well a variety of stalls for people to indulge in Christmas shopping.
