A teenager was detained in Bolton town centre this afternoon, Monday, after she was thought to have been smoking cannabis.
Police officers were seen questioning the suspect on Palatine Street, off Deansgate, at around 12.30pm after it was believed she was smoking the Class B drug.
A small quantity of cannabis was found in the 18-year-old's possession, police added.
The drug was seized from her, and no further action was taken.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “An 18-year-old woman was stopped by officers who was believed to be smoking cannabis, officers detained the female for the purposes of a search and was found in possession of a small quantity of cannabis.
“This was seized from the woman and issued a community resolution to which the female accepted.
“The woman was not arrested, and no further action will be taken.”
