An investigation is under way after a fight broke out at a performance of the hit musical Hamilton.

Police were called to the Palace Theatre on Oxford Street at around 10.30pm last night (Friday November 24) following a report of an assault.

The injuries sustained are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers say that no arrests have been made, whilst enquiries remain ongoing.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Greater Manchester Police were called to Oxford Street in the city centre at around 10:30pm last night (Friday November 24) to a report of an assault.

“An investigation is ongoing at this time with no arrests made.

“Thankfully, injuries sustained are not believed to be life-threatening.

“Anyone with information that may help officers with their enquiries are asked to call 101 quoting incident 3783 of 24/11/2023.”

It comes after a ‘riot’ erupted at the Palace Theatre in April of this year, during a showing of The Bodyguard, causing the show to be stopped.

Tickets for Hamilton in Manchester went on sale in March.
