Emergency services were called out to an incident in Bolton that is believed to have involved a motorbike earlier today.

The incident is believed to have happened on Harrowby Street, Farnworth just before 3pm on Monday November 27.

Passersby say they believe a motorbike was involved in some kind of accident but the North West Ambulance Service has confirmed they were called to the scene but no one is believed to have been seriously injured.

An NWAS spokesperson said: “No one was taken to hospital, and it looks like the incident has now cleared.”

The spokesperson said that an ambulance was called at around 2.58pm and stayed at the scene until around 4.20pm the same day.

As yet there is no indication that the incident involved any other vehicles or that anyone else was injured.

The incident on Harrowby Road appears to have happened on the same day as a major fire not far away in Moses Gate involving a fire that appears to have broken out at a restaurant on Bolton Road, which prompted a major emergency services response.

Greater Manchester Police have been approached for comment.
