A brave Boltonian has taken a leap of faith to open a new aesthetics business after finding a passion for the industry, which “changed her life”.

Megan Knight, 27, from Morris Green, who now lives in Westhoughton, says she has always been interested in aesthetics treatments on herself but was too “scared to make the move”.

She said: “I know how many men or women lack confidence and I knew I was able to make a difference.

“I finally took the plunge to study aesthetics which has changed my life massively.

“I’ve always wanted my own business, with aesthetics being a growing industry to be in, and I knew I would fit in perfectly.

The Bolton News: “I have always had a passion for aesthetics and making people feel good.”

She became an educator less than six months ago, and Megan says that is “overwhelming” to go from a tiny room to renting her own training academy.

Much of her inspiration is from her little boy Chester, aged five.

She added: “It really does overwhelm me sometimes, but I believe if you work hard, you get the rewards.

“This is all for my little boy Chester.

“He even notices how hard I work and tells me he is proud of me.

“This is just the start of my training academy and hopefully next year we will have another location.

“It can be a scary move to make, but it is the best move anyone will make if they are willing to put the work in.

“Everyone told me to believe in myself and now I have there is no going back.

“I can’t wait for my new venture and to see what 2024 brings.”

The academy, based on 107-111 Market Street in Atherton, offers multiple services including aesthetics, semi-permanent makeup, laser, and other beauty treatments.

Through opening the academy, she hopes that she can give others opportunities, and empower them to follow their passions.
