Give us some history about the pub

We opened in 2017, under the Bees Knees brand and we belong to one of the most rapidly expanding pub group in the North West.

In the past 12 months I’ve added the two pool teams, had a new pool table installed as the last one was a bit knackered, added karaoke to Thursday 6pm-10pm and Sunday 7pm-10pm and extended the opening hours to 11am to 10pm. Sunday to Thursday and 11am-3am Friday and Saturday. The thing I love the most about the place is my regular customers and the social element of running a late night venue in the town centre.

Is food served? Is so what’s on the menu?

No

Is there a beer garden

No

Do you have any darts/snooker/pool teams

2 pool teams

Most popular drink served is:

Our smoke on the water cocktail

Most memorable moment at the pub

Being promoted and becoming a landlord

Do you have an entertainment line-up?

Live sport venue , Karaoke, Thursday and Sunday, DJs Thursday , Friday and Saturday after 10 pm

Have you faced any challenges within the industry

My biggest challenged has to have been managing in hospitality during the Covid pandemic

The best thing about running a pub is

The social element and the ability to entertain people

The worst thing about running a pub is..

The long hours

The perfect hangover cure is...

A bacon sandwich
