Residents across Bolton are being invited to sing popular carols in the town centre.

Bolton Parish Church will be showcasing Carols Round the Tree this week giving an opportunity for shoppers, town centre workers and visitors to sing popular carols at an informal gathering.

The carol singing will take place on two lunchtimes Friday, December 15 and Monday, December 18, at 12.15pm.

Tea and coffee will be available, and people are invited to bring their lunch with them if they wish.

On Sunday, December 17, there will be Nine Lessons and Carols by candlelight in the church at 6.30pm followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

And lastly, on Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24 at 3pm, there will be a Crib service where the church hopes to have a surprise visitor.

People are also being invited to visit the Crib in the churchyard anytime.

Everyone is welcome to both services.
