Carols by candlelight were enjoyed by villagers.
Walmsley Unitarian Chapel put on the event in the run up to the big day.
Eagley Brass Band performed at the special service where mulled wine was also service up.
Proceeds from a raffle held during the night will go to Bolton Hospice.
Christmas Day service this year will be held at Egerton URC led by the Congregation from Walmsley Unitarian Chapel starting at 10am.
