Four Bolton eateries have been awarded new food hygiene ratings; the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated one eatery a four out of five, one eatery a three and two eateries a two out of five hygiene rating.

The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are good whilst the management of food safety is generally satisfactory.

The inspection report states the eatery is generally satisfactory in all areas.

It means that of Bolton's 438 restaurants, cafes, and canteens with ratings, 245 (56 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.

The inspection report states the management of food safety is generally satisfactory whilst improvement is necessary for the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.
