A young dentist from Bolton has expressed his joy after winning a dentistry award. 

Darren Tsang has been crowned ‘Young Dentist of the Year’ in the North West at the national Private Dentistry Awards. 

Darren works at Cahill Dental Care on Higher Bridge Street in Bolton town centre. 

The awards, which were held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London recognise excellence in dentistry across the UK.

Darren was nominated for the award for going 'beyond the duty of care', always aiming to provide exceptional outcomes for his patients by giving each and every patient 100 per cent of his effort and focus.

He said: “I’m incredibly grateful to win this award. I am fortunate to have a fantastic team around me and to work in practices that continue to help me push forward and improve as a dentist. 

"This award feels like a career milestone and has given me even more motivation to keep providing state of the art care for my patients and creating beautiful, healthy smiles.”

Since graduating at the top of his class in both the practical and academic elements at dental school, Darren has spent a vast amount of time attending numerous postgraduate dental courses with preeminent dentists from around the world.

He says he 'tries to improve every day', making sure he is equipped to provide the best possible care for his patients.
