A look at Bolton from a different era. Taken in 1959, this photo shows Great Moor Street looking towards the town centre.
On the left is the Flag Hotel which dated back to the 1820s. The pub closed in 1970 would be demolished the following year, the site becoming a car park for Elizabeth House.
On the right you can see a sign for Nuttall’s Taxis - did anyone use this taxi firm back in the day?
