A man has been jailed after he was found with £30,000 worth of cocaine stuffed down his toilet as part of a national drugs operation.

Mathias Akinyemi, 27, was linked by police intelligence to national county lines operation, shipping drugs in bulk and in smaller amounts across Britain.

On Friday, October 13, police raided his home on Ardick Green North where they found drugs, the remnants of plant growing equipment in the attic and bundles of cask.

PC Haydn Cross of Greater Manchester Police’s Challenger Organised Crime Team said: “The jail sentence that’s been secured as a result of this investigation should serve as a stark warning to other county lines offenders.

“Greater Manchester Police takes a zero-tolerance approach and is relentless in its pursuit of those involved in serious organised crime.”
